Catholic Daughter Prayer

Lord Jesus, we the Catholic Daughters of the Americas offer ourselves to you.  We ask that you make our feet your feet when you want us to go where you are needed.  Make our arms your arms when you want us to reach out to a hurting person.  Make our mouths open and speak only as your mouth when you want us to evangelize others through us through us.  Finally, Lord Jesus, make us all good Catholic Daughters of the Americas, so we may give Glory to your Holy Name.  Amen.

(Father Edward Lamp, National Chaplain 2010-2012)

The CDA Positive Pledge

Today, I make this commitment in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, National, State and Local, that I will not entertain, speak or listen to negative thoughts regarding the Catholic Daughters of the Americas’ leadership, membership or programs.  I promise I will only be a positive member now and in the future.

What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has the eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like. (St. Augustine of Hippo)
