JCDA Court St. Helena of the Cross #2679 was instituted August 24, 2015.  JCDA is the Catholic Daughters youth program for girls who are between the ages 6-18.  JCDA members have four basic goals operating under the motto of Message, Service and Community:

  • Develop ones character as a Christian
  • Learn to work for the good of others
  • Grow Spiritually
  • Be creative and flexible

The JCDA colors are royal blue and white.  JCDA members through love and charity have conducted service projects to benefit our parish and community.

JCDA is unlike other youth programs such as the Girl Scouts and American Girl. It offers our young ladies a great opportunity to engage themselves in spiritual growth, leadership, and service while they remain under the protective umbrella of our Catholic faith!

JCDA members are the present and the future of CDA, our Church, and society. Meetings are generally held the 3rd  Sunday of the Month at 1:30pm in the Dolan Center.  For more information or to become a member contact Denise Beitel by email at denisebeitel@sbcglobal.net.

JCDA completed their Blanket Drive; 111 blankets and 9 jackets were turned over to the Loaves and Fishes Ministry at St. Mark’s Catholic Church.  In January 2020, JCDA made snowmen for the Heartland residents.

JCDA Sunday on February 16, 2020 will be celebrated with a corporate mass at 12 noon,  followed by a small reception and ceremony at 1:30 p.m. in the Dolan Center.  CDA members are encouraged to support JCDA by attending the mass, dressed in ceremonial white.  CDA will provide refreshments for the reception/ceremony afterwards.

Denise Beitel reported that the JCDA girls are very appreciative of CDA’s participation in the JCDA Sunday mass and reception.  They gained two members and have continued with their service activities.

JCDA is preparing cascarones for Young Adults Transitioning into Adulthood (YTIA) — dying on March 8th at 1:30, Dolan Center, Rooms, 7&8 — filling them on March 15, 2020Room 5.

Above our JCDA young ladies celebrate JCDA Sunday with family and Deacon Paul on February 21, 2021 at 10 am Mass.
